PerioSystem participated in the 26th Annual Congress of the European Association of Osseointegration in Madrid !
One month after the AAP annual meeting in Boston, Periosystem was also present in the 26th annual congress of the European Association of Osseointegration in Madrid.
For this occasion, the SEPES (Sociedad Espanola de Protesis Estomatologica y Estética) joined forces with the EAO to merge its 47th annual meeting. During 3 days, the osseointegration specialists got together in the impressive building of the IFEMA, Feria of Madrid, to share their knowledge of this method, developped by the Swedish professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark.
Aspects of Osseointegration
« Twenty-five years of Implant Dentistry. What have we learned ? », this question was the main theme of the event, and more than 100 experts tried to answer it during more than 30 conferences. The role of the orthodontic therapy in the functional rehabilitation of patients, the restorative treatments for partially edentulous patients, or how to choose the proper connection and abutment by Dr Bjarni Pjetursson, were some of the subjects that were discussed during the three days of the event.

During these conferences, the 4200 delegates that participated in the event, also had the chance to interact with the dental companies that exposed their medical solutions. Among the 1200 exhibitors, Periosystem catched the international specialists’ attention, who showed great interest in discovering how this software could improve their daily tasks. The dental professionals were very impressed by this innovative and user- friendly dental charting and almost 100 of them subscribed to the platform. Un mois après être allé à la rencontre des parodontistes à Boston, PerioSystem a posé ses valises à Madrid pour le 26ème salon annuel de l’European Association of Osseointegration. À cette occasion, la SEPES (Sociedad Espanola de Protesis Estomatologica y Estética) s’est joint à l’EAO pour y faire cohabiter son 47ème congrès. Dans un cadre de réflexion idéal qui a pris la forme du magnifique bâtiment Feria de Madrid de l’IFEMA, les spécialistes de l’ostéointégration, qui consiste en l’intégration d’implant dentaire dans l’os sans tissu mou interposé, se sont réunis pour partager leurs connaissances sur cette technique développée en son temps par le professeur Per-Ingvar Brånemark.
L’ostéointégration passé au peigne fin
« Twenty-five years of Implant Dentistry. What have we learned ? », telle était la question thématique à laquelle les congressistes ont tenté de répondre en une trentaine de conférences. Du rôle de la thérapie orthodontique dans la réhabilitation fonctionnel du patient, en passant par des débats autour des traitements de restauration de patient partiellement édenté, ou pendant une session fascinante du Dr. Bjarni Pjetursson sur la façon de choisir les bons appuis et connexions structurelles, toutes les spécificités de l’ostéointégration ont été abordées pendant ces trois jours de salon.
3 jours couronnés de succès pour PerioSystem
En marge de ces échanges sur les avancées en la matière, les 4200 participants invités au salon, et guidés par l’application mobile EAO-SEPES mise à disposition par les organisateurs, ont pu aller au contact d’entreprises venues présenter leurs solutions. Parmi les stands des 1200 exposants présents sur le site, celui de PerioSystem a attiré des spécialistes internationaux curieux de découvrir comment leur quotidien pouvait être amélioré par les différentes fonctionnalités du logiciel. Et le bilan a été très convaincant puisqu’une centaine de délégués ont été conquis par les solutions pratiques et ludiques de PerioLine. Après ces 3 jours dans la capitale espagnole, tous les voyants sont au vert pour PerioSystem, qui ne cesse de séduire les experts du secteur dentaire salon après salon !
